Replacement chassis

Post by mcheenan on Tue Jun 07, 2016 4:19 pm

I have a very beloved 22 year old Auto Exec mounted on an equally old Peugot Talbot chassis. The motorhome is in great condition but I am starting to have ongoing problems with the engine, the gearbox, the body work etc on the Talbot. Does anyone know if it's possible to buy a newer second hand van and have my motorhome mounted on it - or is this a crazy idea? I'd be grateful for suggestions - reasonable ones, please!

Exactly the same question asked twice. The other copy is in the Monocoque section.

Asked same question 3 times, the third is in 'Dealers chat' , doesn't get any quicker answers.

You would need a proper coach builder.  I don't think that shell would sit on a boxer but if you look carefully that shell resembles that on the T4 based Clubman.. You would need to check sizes etc though

We occasionally see later Talisman and Executive shells that have been put on the similar same vintage Fiat Ducatto chassis
