Well done on your new purchase and welcome. We are relatively new to this and initially searched for a Clubman but ended up with a Legend which seems to have similar footprint to the Medallion albeit on transit base.
I did wonder initially if it was going to be to good but having now covered approx 2500 miles in here and in France it is absolutely fine. Totally comfortable with it and it is not really any different to driving a LWB van ...which is essentially what they are based on.
Certainly we appreciate the extra space when parked up and it was the right decision for us.
It does take a while to get used to everything as there is a lot to learn but the more you use it the more comfortable you will feel....you will even start to enjoy it!
The other thing you will appreciate is the quality of the fittings and build. These really were craftsmen built motorhomes and the more you use it the more you will appreciate what a fantastic decision you have made!
Enjoy

So far I have only taken off the big stripes from the waist line.
I've left the one covering the black/white paint line & the one around the top.
That's one of this years jobs.
I'm going to get vinyl stripes in a colour of my choosing put hack around the top & over the paint join.
I've no idea how to upload photos on here I'm afraid but if you go to the T4 forum there's a build thread full of pics.

That's nicer than from self build circles - flimsies.

To be fair the build quality of flimsies has improved no end since my first self build, and I don't g think I looked at auto sleepers then.

Been looking at my stripes they are in good condition so not taking them off but the very top green one always fades. On closer inspection it looks like it is painted on all the others are stuck on though. Remember the name flimbsies when i used to be in the sbmcc many years ago.

I was there too. I don't remember you though. (Which probably means camped alongside each other somewhere.)

Hi everyone,

My parents have a Medallion for sale. Its a 1996 with approx. 62,000 miles. They've had it since 2004 and its in good condition. Unfortunately dementia has taken its toll and they can no longer use the van. They used to belong to the members club and attended rallies where the van always attracted positive comments. It's on a VW LT35 chassis with the 5 cylinder engine (I've driven it recently and its nice and smooth). My question to you is what should we advertise it for? All comments gratefully received.
regards,
