Hello and welcome from Cardiff.

You ask about tips: the best one is to ask, ask and keep on asking on this friendly, patient and ever-helpful Forum. We've all been learners; we have amassed an amazing amount of collective knowledge and experience; some members are experts; and without fail we're happy to help. So never be embarrassed to ask what you might consider to be an elementary or silly question, because it won't be.

Hi and welcome. I concur with Cymro's advice above.

Tip 1: avoid buying any gadgets, add-ons, extra bits of kit etc until you've actually established that you really need it.  My garage shelves are loaded with 'stuff' I thought I'd need and now never bother to carry around.

Tip 2: spend a few nights using the motorhome at a very local campsite (or even on your drive if possible) to familiarise yourself with how it all works and so that if you find you do need something from home, it's not far to go to get it.

Tip 3: relax and enjoy your new motorhome.

The anticipation and excitement of going on a trip in our motorhome, whether it's just a day in the local countryside or a six week tour around France, hasn't faded for us after 25+ years of motorhoming.

cheers
Roger
