Post by steve timms on Mon Apr 04, 2016 4:46 am

Hi i have a 1998 auto sleeper executive that has recently sustained some damage and i need the paint code or colour for the pale green paint at the top of the van so i can get some to repaint it. Thank you for your help in advance.

If you have the Autosleeper handbook the codes are usually in there. If you haven't got one, hopefully someone who has will be along soon.
What model is it?

I have the same problem as Steve.  My Executive has suffered damage to the fibreglass body and I cannot find the paint code.  The link, Peter, does not appear to list the coachbuilt body colour.  Can you or anybody else identify the code of the pale green please.

I think the pale green you are looking for is Renault Blanc (green) 355.
If you go to a paint repair specialist he should be able to look the code up & hopefully confirm the code is the right shade of green you are looking for.

Thanks Gren.  I thought so too, but having bought and used a can of Renault blanc I found that it was a much paler shade.

Renault Blanc (green)

Hi Colin S.,

A possible way forward is to take your Autosleeper to a Classic paint company who should be able to obtain a very close match.
I used to work at a garage where the paint person could match any paint. He looked at the colour & matched the colour by eye !

Just a thought, is your paint original shade?  point 2, Have you cleaned the paint back enough to its original shade as possible ?

Yes, the shade is original.  I've seen plenty others that are identical.  I did take the vehicle to a paint sprayer for a match-up.  I was told that it could be matched, but it wouldn't be perfect.  It's only a small area of repaired damage, but the chap suggested it would need a complete respray.  I didn't care for his replies, but perhaps I should try another company.  Thanks for your advice Gren.
