Carver heater/fire tripping electric

First time away this year and every time we try to put the fire on EHU it trips the electricity Any advice please?

"It trips the electricity" can mean one of several things.

If you mean that it trips the MCB just on that circuit, it means that the heater is faulty and is trying to take too much power.

If you mean that it trips the RCD - either in the van or on the EHU bollard - and disconnects all power to the van, it means that the heater is faulty and there is a leakage to earth, either in the wiring or the heater itself.

In theory there's nothing to stop you investigating it yourself to find the cause (at a guess it's ~probably~ an element that has failed and is shorting to the casing) but if you're not confident with mains electricity then it would be best to get a professional to look at and fix it.

Thanks for that explanation - just got our van out and its tripping out all the elec to the van - need to find an expert to look at it
