Hi Brian.

If you mean the black strip between the cab roof and the monocoque luton overhang, the answer is with difficulty. I spoke to Auto-Sleeper and was told that the strip is basically L shaped and is fixed into the body , once the body is fitted it is not possible to get access to the fittings. The only suggestion is to very carefully cut the strip away with something like a dremmel and use something like silkaflex to re-attach it.

Hi Brian

I've got the same problem (rust) with my Clubman......... What is your 'plan B'..........?
I can see no easy way to reach all of the rust to cure the problem, and any remaining will only get worse.
Assuming that others have had the same issue, did anyone find a solution without resorting to the dremmel/silkaflex method?

Regards

Fwiw, I have had the carpet out of mine, couldn't see the fixings. Thats why I contacted AS for help. The strip is both screwed and bonded to the monocoque. Mark at AS was quite certain that the screws would be inacessible and that the only way is to cut it off. Hope you do find a way but it seems unlikely. Mine is a 2 berth as well.

Mark did say that the strip is basically cosmetic, albeit it does make water dispersal better, if it is removed any water will still flow off the roof without entering the shell, don't think I would like the look without a strip though.
