Legoland

Post by BobK on Sat Jan 23, 2016 10:06 am

Hello folks ...  some of the younger members of the family and grandchildren intend to visit LEGOLAND sometime this year.     Has anyone any experience of camp sites which would be convenient.    They would prefer to be within transport links rather than have to move the van off site.

Look forward to hearing you views

regards  Bob

Many many years ago we took our children and camped at Legoland itself. There is a Holiday Village there now but I guess that has been developed from the site we stayed at in Billund.

Caravan Club has a temporary site at the racecourse May 11th - !5th. Near the bus to LEGOLAND. Depends if you can get the kids off school then.
Also Queens Acre, Water Oakley, Windsor. Never been but know Windsor well. Could be on a bus route but about £10 for taxi. smile!

C & CC site at Chertsey takes non-members, about 15 miles from Legoland.

This isn't far but no loos or showers. Check it out. There is EHU. You will need a taxi to get to LEGOLAND.

Caravan club site at Henley on Thames is about 10 miles away and a commercial site near by (swiss cottage I think) also a site near Windsor as you drive from Henley but I can't recall it's name.
