Very interesting Paul but would you pay 44K for it?
When we were looking for a camper we got offered a '65 left hand drive VW Splitty Samba (the one with all the windows in) for 22K which needed fitting out. So glad our Trident came up for sale the next week - been abroad loads in it without any trouble and I don't think that splitty would have served us as well.
Cheers

Hi Our first Splitty was the exact model and colour of the one now on offer. 1962 Martin Walter conversion. We bought it in 1969 in Glasgow . It was immaculate all marine ply, with brass fittings and gas mantle lights. Can't remember how much we paid for it, but it was a bit less than £44k hugegrins

We had it for about six years and toured many parts of GB, France and Spain, with ourselves and our four children. Great holidays. If someone could explain how to download photos to me, I could show some shots of it. Happy days.
