Orleton Rise Nr Ludlow

Post by rose49f on Sun Nov 29, 2015 3:17 pm

Stopped at Orleton Rise for a couple of nights. What a clean tidy and beautiful site it is. Someone loves gardening there. There are only 14 hook ups in a quiet sheltered part of the site. The rest are mobile homes but they are beautifully kept. If you want peace and quiet it is the site for you. The only downside is it's about a mile from a bus stop but the owners took my neighbours into Ludlow to save them taking their van so that says it all about how lovely the owners were. Lots of footpaths for walking and plenty of wildlife.

I agree that the site is wonderful; in fact we had decided to buy a "mobile home" there a few years ago, when we wanted somewhere mid-way between us and our son, then living in Peterborough.
Luckily, I asked him how often he thought he'd meet us there with his new family. When he said "probably twice a year" we had a rethink and decided to buy a proper mobile home; that is our Nuevo.
Haven't looked back since and keep meaning to revisit in our 'van one day.

Whats the nightly rate Rose? Website says to contact direct for price, I don't like that.

It was £17 for two people so not bad including EHU. And it is the low season. I was on my own and still had to pay £17. I tried another site nearby but that was £23.
