Nuevo Radio

Post by Nicnaen on Fri Nov 20, 2015 6:20 pm

I have had my van (Phyllis) for four weeks now. Still a lot to learn but thanks to Dolphin Motorhomes Christchurch for all their after sales support.

I have read about the twenty minute turn off issue and tried the reset options (pushing multiple buttons etc) but they have not worked.

I am thinking of replacing the radio (it's not a great one anyway). Has anyone done this, does it address the auto off after 20 minutes or is that a separate issue.

If you look at my post in this thread and the previous link quoted it will give you some advice and also the correct interface lead required. It will no longer cut out after 20mins!

If your vehicle is Euro 5, then the radio can be switched between 20 - 180 minutes run time after being switched on without the ignition being turned on. If your vehicle is Euro 4, then you are stuck with just a 20 min run time.

See: http://www.autosleeper-ownersforum.com/t8716-switching-peugeot-radios-to-camper-mode for how to switch the radio to, "camper mode" (if Euro 5)

Mine is Euro 4 but by changing the radio to an aftermarket one it will no longer cut out after 20mins. and works without the ignition being switched on.

Your 2006 is the same as mine. The 20 min cut off cannot be altered except when stationary when you can use the over-ride switch above the fridge.
