Heated seat

Post by m8form8 on Mon Nov 16, 2015 10:00 am

Anyone know if the heated seats were a ford accessory or an auto sleepers add on? Not really investigated it yet but while the passengers seat heater works bouncing notice the Drivers seat does not anymore although light comes on. cold I assume the element is broken and wonder who made it and where i might find a replacement. Suggestions tips all welcome?  confused3

I would expect the seat heating to be a Ford OE not by AS.

Wimp!!  hugegrins

Suggestions - thicker underpants for a start, and phone Mark at the Service Centre. If he doesn't know the answer he will find it for you.

I too think this would be a Ford install. Before you do anything just check there are no wires/joints that have become disconnected. I have seen this on Volvo and Vauxhall car seats

Have a search on the Transit Forum

Cheers have to say only time I used one on passenger side was by mistake it got turned on somehow. In summer too when i had shorts on and i had to go sit in the back til it had cooled down it got so uncomfortable. bouncing Drivers side did not work when i got the van, but keep meaning to repair it as while ill possible never want to use it I like things to work if they are fitted.  snigger
