My trouble is just that, got no where to do the work otherwise I would do it. I did a VW van or two many years ago. Its partly the LEZ fueling our wishes for a new van, the amount of times the M25 is at a standstill and we end up struggling because we cant go into the LEZ. (Did that by mistake, still grieving the £500 consequences ) Actually I may have found the right van, had not looked at the fixed bed option of a Devon Renault Monte Carlo van conversion before. It ticks a lot of boxes.. scratch head scratch head scratch head  As does the Sapphire on a Merc base.  best_friends Not sure other half will like me spending that much though!  fedup

That is where I am lucky. Its the other half who first suggested we get a newer van - and it is her who decided new would be best. up!

a Nuevo. smile!

2 berth and under 6m

I've gone for the auto (I know they are unloved but I have my reasons) which means I have to wait for a LONG time.

Well I hope it fits your requirements and you have many happy years with it. Afraid the fiat auto base is not for me, but each to their own. I am deep down really hankering after a Merc base I think its just how to justify the costs lol.  camper

I looked into many vans after I had sold my old one and came up with the Nuevo 4 berth. Reasons ----- under 6 mtrs - 4 berth -4 travelling seats - and interchangeable. When on my own I keep the one side for dining when with the grand children keep the two benches. I have had three large ladies (well two and myself) living in him. Only winning the lottery would make me change and then I would look for one with a 'drop down' bed

I agree it's a brilliant design but after one night with my wife and grandson at the bottom and me at the top I invested in a urinal bottle to save the perilous climb down the ladder at night.

A/S should definitely put an upstairs loo in the next model smile!.

I am sure it will suit us nicely. First, second and third trips already outlined. hugegrins

As for the chassis, I want an auto so its Fiat or Merc. The Fiat is less far over our budget than the Merc is. Far easier to justify overspending a bit than a lot.

pretty much the reason we have gone for a two berth with low level beds. Even the electric beds look a bit too high for the 4am journey.
