Hello all

Time to stop lurking in the background. We don't have an AS at present but having sat in and driven one or two we (that is my dear wife and manager and the sensible one) realised that they just ticked all the boxes.

The workmanship is obviously spot on, I now need the confidence to go out and buy one.

Requirements, usual Tardis 'cos we have a small drive and two, yes two, rescued greyhounds. Side door so that when my wife gets too uppity I can chuck her out (sorry that was a sad sexist joke). We were perfectly happy for 25 years, then we met!

We loved an old Harmony but 20 years old??

Have looked at Symphony and Symbol. Can go up to about £18000.00

Any advice would be appreciated. As they often say, I used to be really indecisive, now I'm not so sure.

I feel guilty about asking for advice on my first post so please feel free to ignore.

Can I say that I am very impressed indeed by the genuine and obviously caring advice given on this forum, it's really refreshing in an increasing cynical world.

Best regards to all

Hello robr and asof_welcome2 from Leicestershire, you will get plenty of help and advice on here just ask, I can only speak of the Topaz my first MH then  I went bigger for more space and comfort, and my present Anniversary Clubman, I find they are a tardis, comfortable economical, I could go on, take your time see as many as you can , and imagine you are living in it, and see if it suits, take bad weather into account when you may be holed up for a time will it suit then?
good luck and happy hunting it`s a great life. up!

Best regards,
Margaret

Welcome to the forum from sunny Swansea.  our rescued Whippet cross says "welcome" to your two bigger buddies.  She recommends that you also ook at a Year 2000ish legend too...like the one in our avatar... With its central side door, your good lady will be able to step out into the dry, if the awning is out, as it is well sheltered.  Don't know how well educated your dogs are, but the HUGE rear bed might come in useful too?

Hi all, and thank you for a great welcome.

Your advice has been brill

Living where we do now after moving from the Midlands many years ago we have to take security very seriously indeed.

Having researched the state of the art alarms, immobilisers etc. I've decided to invest in the most efficient one, which is the window sticker that says, 'No pies are left in this vehicle overnight'

Apparently it reduces crime here by up to 99 per cent.

Still searching for the van

I rest my case

Nice one Rob, had a wee chuckle at that, would that be Pukka pies by chance?
