Anyone else had this happen?

Post by Pamponi on Mon Oct 12, 2015 3:45 pm

When we bought our Clubman I noticed a tiny bit of rust where the fibreglass body meets the cab on the passenger side about waist height.

I took it to my friend at the bodyshop who removed the sealant & sorted it out.  He said there was hardly anything to see rust wise.

Anyway, a few months later it was back.  Looks like rusty water is leaking past the sealant from the inside!

Do we know if there are any drain channels or anything around there? scratch head

Id like to take off the black trim above the windscreen & see if that reveals any clues.  I don't suppose anyone knows ho to remove said trim?   scratch head The one that hides the joint between the cab & the body above the screen.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. think_smiley_46

We have to park on the field behind our house and did get stuck last year. I now always park on mats as Peter suggested and in a place where I can get a straight pull from the Landrover. If that fails next door has a unimog Whistle1.
