Respray Empty Respray

Post by Sand55 Fri Sep 11, 2015 9:48 am

My autosleeper Nuevo, had its mirror and small window smashed when a huge left hand drive pick up was over on our side on a narrow road. The driver didn't stop.
We have had the new mirror fitted, and window, however the door paint has been scratched through to the metal, in about 15 places, where the Brocken glass and mirror hit the door.
There is also a couple of chips of paint on the bonnet, due to traffic.
Does anyone have any idea of the cost to have the door and bonnet re sprayed, please. Hubby thinks it will be too expensive.

If you let us know a little more detail about your location eg town, I'm sure someone will suggest a good body shop where you will be able to get an estimate.

Hi
It depends on how bad the damage is,are the panels dented as well, your labour rates are probably lower than down south As a rough guess about £250 a panel but do you have much choice in getting the work done if the paint is scratched ,it will go rusty making things worse
   best of luck

Thanks for the replies.
Didn't want to go down the insurance line, as we have already paid for the window, and new mirror. We were taking it for its mot, when we were hit. Because of that, we had taken our camera off ! I would like it doing but, hubby still thinks it will be too much. The mirror and window were £340 +

We dont know where you are,   I live in the N.West and it covers a large area. You could consider using one of the mobile guys we have on the car a couple of time and they did a good job at what I considered reasionable prices

Thats why you pay for insurance. It's worth getting the job done properly unless your van is worth peanuts
