Hello from a newby

Post by TrickyWoo on Mon Jul 27, 2015 9:17 pm

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself as another newby. We are based in Warwickshire, both the wrong side of 50, and despite a lifetime of camping & caravanning, we are new to motorhoming. We currently have a 1992 Talisman GL on a Talbot Express 2.0 petrol, which we bought late last year & which we love to bits (it has a name - Draco). Only mod so far - I had power steering fitted - not strictly necessary but I like it for manoeuvering in tight spaces.

Thanks, that's where we should have been too - not Kessingland but "on tour", however Draco's water heater is still in bits and we have no water system at all with it all disconnected (can't even use the loo as pumps need to be kept switched off whilst the hot water is being sorted), and there's a big hole in the wall where the water heater should be. And the weather hasn't exactly been brilliant  over last few days, which doesn't encourage OH into the great outdoors. Shame as  my work is on 2 week shutdown & all my work colleagues have toddled off on their hols & I'm sat at home. On the plus side Draco did pass his MOT on Friday without even so much as an advisory, just the usual comments on how good a condition it's in which we get from anyone who works on it (& the best bit, only cost me £30 as garage had special offer on - whoohoo!). Still, looking forward to September when I'm taking a month off and we're off up to Scotland.
