Watch your weights

Post by mikejack on Sun Jul 19, 2015 6:29 pm

Took our medallion to the weighbridge on Friday ready for going to France. We weighed the van with a full tank of fuel and water 2 mountain bikes 14kg each. 3 camping chairs 1 ally camping table clothes a few tins of food. 2 adults one 14yr old. And we where just under by 2kg. The main bench seat only has the chairs and table in it so loads of room left and the seat with the seatbelt on is empty as i took my tv out. We don't carry any junk that's not needed. And only travel with about 30 ltrs of water so should be ok. But could very easily go over weight.

Hi there,

Well done!! allthumbz allthumbz

We weighed "Petal" and the Trailer/Quad combination both together and separately when we first got them.

We carry the Certificates with us in case they are ever needed and if there was ANY significant change we would take another trip to the local weigh-bridge.

For people who may not have weighed their vans, here's a site that allows you to find a weighbridge near to where you live.

https://www.gov.uk/find-weighbridge

Please note that it is a "gov.uk" site so "they" are interested in letting you know where your nearest weighbrdge is located! think_smiley_46 think_smiley_46

Hope this helps. allthumbz

Best regards,
