Talisman warning light on dash

Post by judy t on Tue Jul 07, 2015 9:37 am

Hi, my 98 Autosleeper talisman has a filter warning light showing all the time when running. I have renewed the air filter, still the same, Would it be the pollen filter and if so how do I change it .Thanks .

If there is a possibility that it is a "water in fuel" warning light then I would strongly recommend that you do not run the engine until you are sure.

Typically (on a diesel) what you have is a small catch tank with a sensor in it to detect water. If the volume of water exceeds the capacity of the tank you will draw water into the injection pump and injectors, and this ~may~ cause damage which will cost many hundreds or possibly £1000+ (if the pump has to be replaced) to repair.
