Brit Stops

Post by Bobskate on Tue Apr 14, 2015 9:46 pm

I have just joined Brit Stops and have been thumbing through their handbook. A wide range of places all over the country. Most interesting. One thing concerns me. Most of the "sites" offer a small number of spaces and many don't ask that you phone in advance to see if a space is available. You could almost be in France where there is never a problem getting on a site, rather than in UK where you can never get a pitch (at short notice) at a weekend at most of sites operated by the two main clubs. All sounds too good to be true. Is it really just the case of turning up? I going on my first one this weekend so maybe I'll be able to answer my own question.

Yes, we just turned up when we went to the NEC and they were over their limit but just said 'fine, pitch up' and we had a great meal in the pub with very friendly hosts and fellow MHers.
We even use them for days out; pick one and go for lunch etc as we know the carpark is big enough for MH's. Brilliant system.

A friend of mine who runs a pub in Kelk, East Yorkshire made us aware of this system, he told us he's a Brit Stop Pub and it works flawlessly.

Been a member since 2011. Great value & an increasing number of "Hosts" year on year.
