Photobucket

Post by chrisvesey on Sat Mar 28, 2015 6:31 pm

I have read the section on posting photos but it will not work, I am using a samsung tablet and downloaded the app but I have had no success, the boxes shown do not appear. I then tried using my old laptop on windows 7 still with no success, is it me or has something changed with the system,

I use the simpler version of Photobucket - TinyPic - quite a lot, as it means that I don't have to worry about messing with privacy settings to prevent people navigating through all my photos, each upload just disappears into the vaster cloud if you don't set specific tags

I use tinypic mostly, its easy to use as you don't even need to create an account, just upload the image (but you usually have to fill in a captcha antispam box) then just copy the image code when it's uploaded then paste it into your forum post... Easy peasy!

Only easy peasy if the required boxes appear,

Just trying Tinypic.  Ads and antispam a bit of a nuisance but still quick and easy

See above - I did try Tinypic and it does have the benefit that you don't have to register.  I then thought I'd try it on my windows phone - you can't get through the spam filter on the main site and to use the mobile site you have to register.

I then thought "I wonder if there is a mobile version of photobucket".  There is and as I'm already registered there I just logged on using my windows phone and was able to place a pic on the forum all using my phone so I suppose that will work for any mobile device.

There is a link to the mobile website at the bottom of the page at link above.

Further to CC's comment - the boxes containing the image code are right over on the extreme right of the page showing your selected picture.
If the display size is wrong on your machine, you will have to use the scroll bar to move across and find them.
