Post by dotsontour on Sun Sep 04, 2011 11:45 pm

although this site is only eight miles from home we take our grand kids here .a smashing site surounded by hills to walk on well marked paths ;a lake to fish course i think, another lake to boat on our rug rats were in a dinghy and then swimming this weekend. there is even a quite area .the whole place runs on very few rules .just common sense .the site is run by George and Katie Barstow and family.a great place for all the family whatever the age.
regards all

We camped here last summer.
There was a friendly relaxed atmosphere created by the owners.
There were some nice touches. For instance, the fridge full of bacon eggs milk e.t.c
left overnight in the reception area with just an honesty box in attendance.

Lovely to see this on here. FF's is one of our favourite sites have been going since we got our first van.
Katie, George and family have been working hard over the winter building a new toilet block and if you are on any of the social networking type sites Katie has been updating the progress and they are hoping to reopen truly swish (by the sounds of it) at the end of May i seem to remember.

Great walks and at night the stars are great along with the wildlife.
Oh I was i was there now.

Search Fforest Fields and they have a good website.
