Hi Everyone
I'm new to the idea of motorhome owning but have wanted one for a few years. I have decided to go for my dream and buy one.
I would appreciate any advice and if anyone has one for sale or knows of any in the East Anglia region please let me know I'm in Great Yarmouth and would like 2 to 4 berth Max (its just for 2 people) and ideally 20 foot or under ,
Thanks

Hi, and welcome to the forum  wave

I would advise you not to spend too much on your first motorhome. Different people have different needs and finding out what you and your partner need in a motorhome is part of the learning curve. Once you have a van you'll realise what you do want/ need and what you don't want.

Hi there,

Welcome to the forum from what has been a dry but chilly day in Skegness.

With regard to getting a motorhome I suggest that you:

1.  Set a budget to buy, run and maintain a motorhome.  As a general rule there is a balance between brand new (expensive to buy but cheaper to run and maintain) and really old (cheaper to buy but more expensive to run and maintain) so ....

2.  Decide whether you are going for "new" or "pre-owned".

3.  Work out what size you need.  (In our case the limitation was what could be accommodated on our drive.)

4.  Work out what are your "must haves".  (In our case the essentials were flexible bed positions, separate toilet/shower compartment, a fridge, a cooker and a wardrobe.)

5.  Do the research to find out which particular AS model suits your needs and budget.

6.  Go find a suitable motorhome and buy it.  (Be aware that, like the Princess in the fairytale, you may have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your Prince!)

I agree with Frank in not spending too much on your first motorhome.  The MH life isn't for everyone and although we love it a number of our friends think we are insane!  champagne champagne

Hope this helps. allthumbz

Best regards,
drinksallround

Thank you everyone for your welcomes and advice its much appreciated. I even had a good laugh at the frog and princess ...but good idvice thanks

I'm not sure of model and make I want as I'm that new lol
I have a budget of £25,000 in mind
My idea of needs are:
 I only need 2 berth ( up to 4 berth I'd consider)
I want beds to be either as 2 single or one double (both made from the seating)
Length 20ft or under would be even better ( but would consider 21ft I'm not limited on space to park I just think the shorter length one would suit me best.)
Apart from the above I'm not really sure what else I should look for ..Any advice welcome.
Thanks

Hi Julie

Becks motorhomes near Yarmouth have a nice AutoSleeper Sandhurst but it's top money IMO but might be worth a look if you can get the price down to within your budget.

Several AutoSleeper Nuevo models for sale on Autotrader here
