Autosleeper Executive info please.
Hi
I have two niggling little problems which I would like to solve
Can anyone tell me where the battery for the gas hob igniter is located on the executive please. Mine seems to have bit the dust. It says in the manual that it is under the press button, but I can't see how to access it.
The second one is, the rear step (which is manual) has a buzzer, but has now stopped buzzing. I read in the manual, that it is under the dashboard, but that is a bit ambiguous and I really don't fancy ripping it out to find the that it isn't the fault.
Cheers Andy

Executive Info.
Hi Andy.
The gas hob igniter does not have a separate battery it gets its power from the vans 12 volt habitation battery. Problem could be the power supply to the igniteror if you are really unlucky a new igniter unit will be needed. As for your step it will most likely be the button type switch fitted at the rear of the step. They tend to need annual attention as they get all the weather can throw at it under there. If its not the switch you get to the buzzer by taking out the glove box inner.(quite easy)
I will be offline from now untill Tuesday but if you need any more info I will try to help then.
Whisky.

Hi Guys
Than you for your advice. Yes the power is 12v and comes through the supply with the 12v socket. So will have to take the Hob out and have a look, or just use a gas lighter
I have used WD40 on the step switch, but will take it off and give it a good going over.
Once again thank you
Andy

Re: Autosleeper Executive info please.
Hi
I have now solved the step buzzer problem, as was suggested, it was the switch that was the problem, as it was completely corroded. I have ordered a new switch and will fit it soon.
I have taken the top of the Hobb off and removed the two red cable terminals from the switch. I then connected my multimeter to the switch terminals and had a reading of 1, then when I pressed the switch, the reading dropped to zero, dose that indicate that the switch is ok? How can I tell if there is power to the red cable? using my Multimeter. I can light the gas with a lighter so there is gas supply.
Any advice most welcome
Andy

Exec Info.
Hi Andy.
To check your 12 volt to the igniter switch connect your multimeter to the incoming red wire and the hob chassis. If that is OK the igniter switch could well be faulty.
Alf might be of some help to you here as he is more clued up on electric than I am.

Hi Whisky
I think you might be right. I have power to the Igniter switch, but the igniter only worked when I wiggled the press button a little bit, so I think the switch is faulty. Thank you for your help.
