caravan club site at strid wood (bolton Abbey

great site...location, facilities etc BUT TV reception is a problem.
Like  other motorhomers we invested in a new avtex tv which is digital only....no facility to receive analogue.
the site  receives digital signals BUT has a system which converts this digital sytem into  analogue only...6 channels.
so if you have a digital only TV you will get no reception.

next time we visit we will take an older tv which still works on analogue.

dont askme how the system works , I have no technical knowlwdge but the guy camping next to me plugged into the bollard tv point and got a good picture on analogue.
hope this hellps corrie   emmerdale  east ender fans !!

They have  the same system in Kessingland CC site and also came across the same at the CC site in Llanbrynmair.  Kessingland offered to sell us a cable to reach the bollard for £14, didn't loan them out, so we didn't bother.

You shouldn't be watching Telly in that area. Lovely walks along the Wharfe to Bolton Priory one way or Barden Tower and beyond the other (don't fall in the strid though!). Appletreewick has some very old & interesting buildings, Burnsall is another popular spot as is Grassington if you want to walk that far. All beautiful, easy riverside walking.
I like that area - can you tell?  smile!
