Montignac Aire.

Post by Tengah74 on Sun Jul 06, 2014 4:56 pm

Please be advised that the Aire at Montignac gps N45 04 067 E001 09 883 now has 24 power plugs for Free. Also there is now an overnight 3 Euro charge between 8pm and 8 am. The power is free also during the day. Have been going there for a few years and nicely surprised . It is a fairly large aire 5 min walk from the town centre.although it does not have water or dump, there is a large Intermarche store in the town that has a free custom service point. Enjoy.

Hi there,

I'm sorry, but there are nine Montignacs in France and the degrees, minutes and seconds are a bit skewed because the seconds cannot be any more than 59.  (You have 067 and 883!)

The place sounds brilliant.  Could you please give the relevant French post code (five digit number) of the Montignac that you are referring to?  allthumbz

Best regards,

I assumed they were dec minute format co-ordinates, which coincides with Montignacs 24290, just north of Sarlat-La-Caneda

Mike,

If all else fails, read the Manual?  Whistle1  Whistle1

It's between Bordeaux and Lyon.  Feed in 24290 to  http://www.viamichelin.co.uk  and it will throw it up straight away as the first option.

I've highlighted the addresses in "bold" for the hard of hearing!

Best regards as always,
 best_friends
Ian

Take the road from Brive la Gaillarde, via Terrasson La villedieu to Lardin. Left at the traffic lights (D704) to Montignac. Signposted into Montignac until you get to a new roundabout. Go right at the roundabout ( as if going through the town, one way only), and the Aire is signposted about 100 metres on the left. Hope this helps. The other signposted Aire in the town is a little iffy. Interwar he store in the town has a free service point for all coloured water !!

Terrason has now got a new Aire , virtually in the town centre, with all facilities. Also market day is Thursdays, which is a fine market.
