Air Con

Post by steve00136 on Mon Mar 31, 2014 10:51 pm

Not used our Lancashire habitation air conditioning unit in any hot weather yet - but first impressions just switching it on that it seems very noisy!
Is that normal? Does it quieter down a bit when it reaches temperature ........ hope so!
Thanks.

Aircon has two levels of noise, three for the CA1000. First the fan, a continuous noise that does drop in volume as/if temperature is reached and the fsn slows down. Second, the throb of the compressor - which cuts out when the temperature is attained. Third, an occasional louder throb on the CA1000 as the condensation pump empties its reservoir after the unit has been cooling for some time.
